Ellie and Kyle Wedding

Just a few images from Ellie and Kyles fabulous wedding at the North Lakes Hotel and Spa in Penrith…

Sam, Russ and Kids

I had a brilliant time a couple of weeks go with this bunch of nut cases for a socially distanced family shoot. We had a shoot about the same time last year it was amazing to see how the kids have grown. I look forward to the same later this year.

Sandy and Jeffs Wedding

I recently had the pleasure of shooting my first wedding in a long while for Sandy and Jeff. With just their best friends as guests and witnesses . It was a very intimate ceremony at Penrith registry office followed by Coffee and cakes at Costa.

Lisa and Jasons Wedding

What a crazy day with this mad crowd of nutters, nothing but laughs all day, even the rotten weather could not deter everyone form having an amazing time. Lisa and Jason come up to the lakes of long weekends with the kids so know the area really well. Who could not fall in love with the Lake District even if it’s tipping it down with rain.

They held the entire day at the Inn on the lake hotel on the shores of Ullswater and even treated everyone to a fab lake cruise on one of the steamers..

Thanks you all so much for the privilege of being part of your fabulous wedding..

Nikita and Dannys Wedding

Going back to the balmy days of summer for today’s wedding. This time we headed south - all the way down to Hertfordshire. The bride decided on the amazing Sopwell House for the morning wedding preparations, it almost felt like we where in the Mediterranean due to the beautiful weather.

From here we all headed to Shenley Cricket Club for the ceremony, reception and evening festivities. The gardens and surrounding woodland provided an excellent backdrop for photos. Plus some quirky shots in front of the cricket scoreboard.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your fabulous wedding day

Catherine and Michaels Wedding

It was….. Sunflowers and a boiling hot day for Catherine and Michaels awesome wedding day. It seems only five minutes ago when we headed down the M6 to Cheshire.

We first met the happy couple two years ago at Michaels sisters wedding and we all got on famously and it was really nice to meet the families again.

Following a church ceremony we all headed out to the amazing Motram Hall for the reception and evening party, great venue for lots of photo opportunities, but the shot of the day (for me anyway) was the avalanche of confetti that was thrown as they left the church…..

Bridal Preparations

Bridal Preparations..

It can be totally manic or really chilled and relaxed. Yup, I am of course referring to morning bridal preparations.

Everyone is here, makeup artists and hair dressers, are all set to make everyone look amazing. The few hours before the ceremony are some of my favourite times of the day and can produce some really nice photo’s. I do my best to stay out of the way in order to capture the mix of emotions that can occur. Right up the the moment when dad sees his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time.

Sam & Russ Family Shoot

Sam Russ Family Shoot.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of meeting up with Sam, Russ and the kids for a family photo shoot. We wandered down to Kingmore Park Nature Reserve (they are so lucky to have this right on the doorstep) The kids where awesome, laughing and smiling all the way through. You rock…

Thanks for letting me be part of your lovely family even though it was just for an hour.

Pre-shoot / Engagement Shoots

A wedding pre-shoot is included in the two most popular packages that I offer. It is a great way for us to get together and have a good natter about the plans for your wedding day and discuss timings and specific shots you would like to be captured. I find that it also helps you feel more at ease and less nervous having to be in front of the camera on your big day. I will not pose or set up any of the shots, and just leave you to relax and have some fun (you will hardly notice that I am there).

You will of course receive all of the photographs from the shoot, to share with family and friends or to send out on save the date cards or invitations. I will ask you to select one of the images for me to print, mount and display in a large frame which I will bring along on your wedding day for your families and guests to leave messages. You can then take this home at the end of the day as a keep sake.

I have included a small selection of photographs from recent pre shoots to give you a idea of what I do..

Lydia and Marks Wedding

Lydia and Marks Wedding Blog

Going back to the crazy hot summer we had last year for today’s awesome wedding. Lydia and Mark held their ceremony at the beautiful St Andrews Church Penrith. We then all went down to the shores of Windermere to Low Wood Bay Hotel for the wedding breakfast and reception.

Families and guest were also treated to a surprise lake cruise on Windermere, it is safe to say that the Prosecco was flowing and everyone had a fabulous time.

Thank you for making us feel so welcome..

Laura and Jonnys Wedding

Laura and Jonnys Wedding Blog

Todays outing was down to the wonderful Abbey House Hotel in Barrow. For Laura and Jonnys wedding, it is always such a pleasure to work at this venue, all the staff are so friendly and helpful and the hotel grounds provide a spectacular backdrop for some great photography.

Part of the gardens where converted into a laser clay pigeon shooting range and all of the guests had a fantastic time. I declined the opportunity as I just knew I would not manage to hit a single one :-).

The happy couple decided to surprise the guests with two singing waiters. This went down really well and even prompted a dancing session in the middle of the wedding breakfast room.

Thank you to you all for making us feel so at home..

Paula and James Wedding

Paula and James Wedding Blog

We had an amazing day with these two nut cases. Paula and James tied the knot at the amazing Lanercost Priory and then on to the fantastically quirky Kirklinton Hall for the reception and evening festivities. Even the weather did not dampen their spirits as it is quite normal here in Cumbria it decided to chuck it down with rain. Thankfully it was short lived and cleared up in time for some awesome photo’s around the building and surrounding gardens.

For the evening reception they provided a BBQ and a series of fire pits outside in the grounds.

Vicky and Matthews Wedding Day

Vicky and Matthews Wedding Blog

Wow… It had to be one of the hottest days of the year for Vicky and Matt’s big day.. Blencowe Hall near Penrith never looked nicer in the sunshine..

The wedding was really relaxed and intimate, they even had their dog wearing a fancy flower necklace.

The ceremony was held in the large sitting room, and felt really homely, so much so it felt like they where getting married in someones house.

After the ceremony everyone was treated to an alfresco barbecue.

Amy and Toms Wedding Day

Amy and Toms Wedding Day Blog

It was great to be back at Crabwall Manor Hotel and Spa as it has been a while since our last visit, and always great to be back.

Today we were here for Amy and Toms wedding. The day started at the Village hotel in Bromborough for bridal preps, I will really liked the striped wallpaper in the room, before moving on to Crabwall for the ceremony and reception. Tom had the biggest smile on his face when he opened his wedding gift from Amy, an awesome Tag Heuer watch.

Jamie-Lee and Adams Wedding Day

Jamie-Lee and Adams Wedding Blog

Going back to the fabulous summer we had this year and it was another scorcher of a day for Jamie-Lee and Adams wedding, this time we were at the Inn on the Lake Glenridding. We consider it a privilege to be able to work here, the lake and mountains provide such an amazing backdrop.

We had a fantastic day with Jamie-Lee and Adam, and the children certainly kept us on our toes and provided some entertaining photo opportunities. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.. :-) x

Laura and Jono's Wedding

Laura and Jono’s Wedding Blog

Laura and Jono’s wedding had a nautical theme owing to the fact that the Groom is in the merchant navy some of his colleagues were on hand to provide a guard of honour with swords as the happy couple came out of church. They were basically locked in until they had a kiss..

Following the ceremony the day continued at the amazing Askham Hall for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. It is always so nice to have everyone outside to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful gardens.

Catherine and Michael's Wedding

Here is a little preview from Catherine and Michaels wedding.

Another scorcher of a summers day.. We headed down the M6 to Cheshire again for today’s wedding. Following a ceremony at church we all made our way to the amazing Mottram Hall for the reception.

Catherines choice of flowers was awesome. Everybody was decked out in beautiful sunflowers.

Laura and Jonny's Pre shoot

Laura and Jonny’s Pre-Shoot Blog

A couple of weeks ago I met up in Borrowdale for Laura and Johnny’s wedding pre shoot. We decided it was nice enough to spend some time by the lake before venturing up into the hills. Apart from a bunch of school kids the place was deserted, kind of unusual for the location..

We had a great time, so I decided to share a few shots from the shoot. Really looking forward to their wedding a the end of this month..

Rebecca and Simons Wedding

Rebecca and Simons Wedding Blog

The amazingly quirky Kirklinton Hall was the setting for Rebecca and Simons wedding day. The Cumbrian weather even behaved itself and stayed dry and sunny all day. Their guests were treated to lovely BBQ in the afternoon with popcorn and ice cream on tap for afters. Sadly not many people (including the groom) managed to stay onboard the rodeo bull ride for very long.
